Blackberry Hill Farm

We are a small family farm in central Tennessee that specializies in Icelandic sheep and their products. Jim works as a software engineer, while Sue, along with Katey (15) and James (11) work on the farm and homeschool.

We have some of the best Icelandic bloodlines both from Iceland (through A.I.) and from within the US. A large proportion of our original breeding stock was from Tongue River Farm, where Susan Mongold worked tirelessly for many years to establish and develop the Icelandic breed in the US.

We have won a quite number of awards for fleece. Our fleeces have taken most of the major placings for Icelandic ewe and ram at the Tenessee State Fair over the last few years, plus the distinction of several State Champions and Reserve State Champions of all breeds. Sue and Katey have also won many prizes for their hand spun yarn and hand crafted items at County and State Fairs and also at fiber festivals
